CKB Commerce College ("we", "us", or "our") built the CKBCC App as an institutional mobile application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our app, and the choices you have associated with that data.
The app may collect the following types of data solely to provide its features:
- Location (GPS): Used to geotag photos taken through the camera feature. Location is accessed only when you tap "Start Camera" and is never transmitted to any server.
- Camera: Used to capture photos with GPS coordinates. Photos are saved directly to your device's gallery (DCIM/CKBCC folder).
- Storage: Required to save captured photos to your device.
- Internet: Used to load college notices, events, and other content from the college website.
Important: All camera data and GPS coordinates stay entirely on your device. We do not upload, transmit, or share your photos or location with any server or third party.

- CAMERA — Opens the native Android camera to capture geotagged attendance/field photos. Required only when you use the Camera feature.
- ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION / ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION — Reads your GPS coordinates at the moment of capture to stamp them onto the photo. Not used for tracking or background location access.
- WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE — Saves captured photos to your device's DCIM/CKBCC folder. Required on Android 9 and below.
- INTERNET — Loads content from the college website (notices, news, downloads). No personal data is sent.
- ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — Checks if your device is connected to the internet before attempting to load content.
The app loads content from the following college-owned domains:
- ckbcc.rkcfinsolutions.com — Main app content
- ckbcc.ac.in — Official college website
- soft.ckbcc.ac.in — ERP and Attendance portal
- lms.ckbcc.ac.in — Learning Management System
These are all operated by CKB Commerce College. When you visit these links, their own privacy policies apply. We do not use Google Analytics, Firebase, Facebook SDK, or any third-party advertising networks.
All data generated by the app (photos with GPS stamps) is stored locally on your device in the DCIM/CKBCC/ folder. We do not have access to this data.
We take reasonable precautions to protect data in transit between the app and college servers using HTTPS encryption.
This app is intended for use by students, faculty, and staff of CKB Commerce College. It is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Since we do not collect or store personal data on our servers, there is no personal data to request, modify, or delete from our end. You can:
- Revoke camera or location permissions at any time from your device's Settings → Apps → CKBCC → Permissions
- Delete photos from the DCIM/CKBCC folder on your device at any time
- Uninstall the app to remove all app data from your device
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
